  20. Why are we microsoft bashing in an Ada language news group?  Anyway, while
  21. I am not a big microsoft fan, I  shall say that I DID switch from OS2/Warp
  22. to 
  23. Windows 95 because Warp had many more stability problems than does W95.
  24. At least in my case it did.  If this were an ideal world, we'd all be
  25. using MACs or
  26. NeXT computers.  :)

  28. I agree, for the most part, with the rest of what you wrote.  But at the
  29. same rate,
  30. when PC DOS was first written, who would have known how the hardware would
  31. change as it had?  (And continues to change).  Also, competition requires
  32. companies to "rush" products out the door without thorough testing (or
  33. with the knowledge that bugs exist, but htat they will fix them in a
  34. future release) because of company A gets a new and widely desired product
  35. out months or even a year before company B gets their robust version out,
  36. it will be too late and company A will have cornered the market -- buggy
  37. software and all.

  39. I am not advocating this.  Actually, I quit my last job with a company I
  40. had been with for 11 years because they started spitting out software with
  41. known bugs, just because they wanted to get it out fast to compete.
